The A24 Podcast
Another podcast that is firm in our rotation is The A24 Podcast – a tonal shift in entertainment media. Similar to another go-to of ours, Variety’s Actors on Actors, which we previously mentioned in an old New In, A24’s rendition is part deep dive and part creative note. Over the years, it’s featured everyone from Greta Gerwig to Martin Scorsese, but it first came into our periphery when it hosted two A24 director powerhouses, Celine Song and Sofia Coppola. Another film podcast? Sure! But we can’t get enough. For the archives, we’re listening directly on the A24 website.
Cards On The Table
Cards On The Table, a four-part series hosted by Stanley Tucci and produced by Allbirds, is a conceptual, curated dinner party for ideas, published by Rolling Stone. With conversation cards devised by Dr. Orna Guralnik (Couples Therapy), each gathering brings together personalities from design, activism, art, and culture. Over drinks and a shared table, guests such as Tan France, Carlos Sainz, Brian Cox, and Henry Golding discuss ambition, belonging, and what it means to reveal oneself. The show feels less like old-school branded content, while authenticity shines through as key public figures share personal details that forge a connection with the viewer.
Le Labo – Thé Noir 29
New York-based artisanal perfumery Le Labo’s Thé Noir 29 is a fragrance of paradox: smoky and enveloping, with notes of tea, bergamot, black tea leaf, velvet, fig and cedar (you can potentially see the similarities with our love for Jardin de la Lune, featured in last month’s New In). It’s a splurge, but it's definitely worth the investment for special occasions. If you prefer, deeper, more musky and wood scents, this one’s for you. Some say its preferred usage is in the evening; we say whenever!
We love Bambi – a self-proclaimed music-led restaurant in London Fields, right next to Netil House, the perfect spot for post-work drinks and DJs. It’s modest in footprint but expansive in quality, aesthetics, and atmosphere; walls lined with bottles, soft lighting, and vinyl on display. In a city overloaded with hyped up wine bars, this one holds a special place in our hearts.
Into Being: Yorkshire Sculpture Park
British sculptor, Laura Ellen Bacon’s Into Being at Yorkshire Sculpture Park is an immersive installation and masterclass in willow weaving, located in the Chapel. The large-scale form twists and turns, utilising the interior walls as its canvas, while taking into consideration the small nooks, paned windows, and varying levels. Bacon is known for her use of natural materials and spatial, architectural sculptures that hold composition and space in high regard; however, the Wakefield exhibit was also home to some of her smaller works and sketchbook drawings. On show until 7 Sept 2025.
